FRESHFARM is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit that builds a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system in the Mid-Atlantic region by producing innovative solutions in partnership with local communities and organizations. They create food access, economic development, and thriving communities through hands-on education, farmers markets, and food distribution programs.
They reached out to me after seeing my work for Common Grain Alliance to design “Words To Eat By”, a brochure explaining a number of terms used when describing various types of food products found at farmers markets. I designed a 4 panel brochure that perfectly matched their brand guidelines, making use of painterly style illustrations provided by the client.
I handled the design aspect of this project from the initial layout, further revisions, and the final formatting for sending off to the printer. The brochure was distributed at their farmers market locations in Washington, DC.
